I began working in Financial Services shortly after graduating from university when I took up a role in a life insurance firm and I quickly gained a keen interest in the industry.
I developed my experience in several key areas, primarily in share dealing, settlements, and back-office management, working for both medium and large financial institutions during my career.
I joined Shorts in 2017 after relocating to the area and was immediately welcomed into the Financial Services team. My role as a paraplanner here gives me a great deal of exposure to many different aspects of financial planning, providing a rich and varied experience in my role, which involves working closely with advisers to conduct research in respect of clients existing or future pensions and investments. The research helps assist advisers in ensuring clients’ circumstances and requirements are being appropriately deliberated within the advice that our advisers provide.
The team here actively supports each other and it’s nice to be part of a shared effort to maintain high standards.
